Welcome to Learn Food Photography

Food Photography has a power of exciting people about food. A good food photograph can make you hungry and arouse your temptation. I believe, this is why there are very few Food Photographers. Food photography leaves a lasting impact, but there is more to a great food photograph than just photography – Food styling.  Food photograph is only as good as its food styling. Most famous Food Photographers either have food styling skills or hire a Food Stylist.

If you are hobbyist like me, hiring a food stylist is very expensive. So why not develop food styling skills and at the same time improve your food photos?

Welcome

That’s where this blog comes in. When I was researching and was trying to find some resources on food photography and food styling, I quickly realized that there are not many resources on the web that help aspiring Foodographers and Stylists. While I was noting the tips and techniques that I use and experiment with, I thought it would be of great use to those who are interested and can’t find anything on the web.

What’s coming

Next few months will be very exciting. Imagine being able to take a good photograph every time. Imagine people being tempted to eat the food from your food photograph and the smile on their faces and the excitement in their eyes, every time they see one of your photographs.

Here’s How

How do you compose a good food photograph? How do you start with Food Styling? What are the elements of good food photograph? How about garnishing? Can you really take great pictures with a simple point and shoot camera or do you need a complicated DSLR?

All this and more coming up in the next few months…

Just found your blog today and I have been following the links to some of the 45+ tutorials. This is just the kind of site I have been looking for, I love being able to share my recipes on-line with friends and family but my photography is seriously letting me down. I look forward to future posts.

I’ll try using some of this, when I take pictures of my homemade beers for my webpage the next time. It is still just a hobby, but it would be nice to learn just a little about it, to make my photos better.
