Hi! I try to style and photograph for the recipe I write about on my blog, but I must confess I am not very regular… However, I would love your feedback and advises on my last post!! I’m still thinking about how to style the chicken wings from your previous post!!
A lot of photographers take pictures of food for their art. And what else do they need than a place where they can post all their masterpieces? This is where photo galleries online come into the picture. There are places online where you can actually post your pictures or food photographs for the whole world to see. There are sites which offer free signing up so you don’t have to pay any kind of registration fee or the likes.
I have started and I am enjoying it. Check the pictures out at www.mugsinc.com
Thank you for sharing. Like the food photo # 16. Great composition.
Yes I have mine here: http://blog.allisonmjennings.com/ on my photoblog!
Interesting photoblog. Congratulations on starting Project 365. I tried that sometime ago and did it for about 200+ days and then my priorities change.
As you may have figured, it is a heck lot more demanding than you initially think.
thanks! this is my 3rd year and hopefully my 2nd successful one.. though on day 100+ of food i’m getting stumped besides my family is “dieting” thus don’t want me making yummy baked goods
Wow!! 3rd year of 365! Congratulations… I have a lot of respect for people who can do this and manage everything else
. One of these days, I will restart this project.
I loved taking a pictures, and whenever we go to a different restaurants I used to take a pictures on different dishes, then compare it to other restaurant.

@rosemary nardone: Hi Rosemary, I checked your blog and I got struck by the flower shop you featured. Or was that table setting with all the flowers? Its the first time I saw a table with a lot of gorgeous flowers.
And you got a very clean website that do not hurt the eyes.

One of those popular hobbies of photographers nowadays is taking pictures of food. What is it in food that photographer enjoy in taking pictures of them much? It’s because food has that sort of lively characteristic that you can plainly see in pictures. If you are such photo enthusiast then you would need a place where you can post all the food pictures that you have taken. Well, you do not have to worry since there are sites online that you could go to and post your masterpieces.
Yes I do! You can find me here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shaheen-p
I have just recently started a blog where I post the photographs of the new recipes I try. Check it out here: http://goddessofcookingintraining.blogspot.com
And to anyone who happens to look at my blog, any advice on my very mediocre food pictures would be much appreciated!
I make recipes and share them online. Having good photographs helps people get more excited about the food!
Not 100% food blog but the majority of my posts are food related.

Just stumbled upon your blog…love it!
I’m starting to shoot more regularly. I have a food blog and the better of the shots that are set-up and styled get posted on Flickr and I link to those photos from my blog. I include other photos on the blog that don’t get posted on Flickr at all. The workflow works for now.
Any suggestions or ideas of other places to post?
Yes, I post my photographs and other irrelevant works. Of course I choose only the best to show to the public. I post my pictures in a site called ‘Photobucket’ or when I want to preserve its big size, I use ‘Tinypic’. Sounds kind of ironic right? As for my drawings, I use deviantart.com to share them with co-artists.

I’m definitely not a regular photographer in the sense that I do it every day but I do photograph a lot more often these days. I too have a food blog where I post my photos. I’m definitely still learning and trying to figure out the finer points of photography within the materials that I have on hand. It’s a work in progress and I definitely need more practice.

It’s tricky to setup for a shot of a dish you’re hoping to eat while it’s hot, and not delay dinner too much.
I usually just post my photo’s to my blog http://multiplydelicious.com/ I just started my blog in September and gradually trying to get better in the photography part of things. Any words of wisdom would be wonderful! I have enjoyed reading your blog.
We are three friends form three different places, who started a food blog in October. We take pictures but we all are trying to get better at it. I am just using a regular digital cam and no specific lighting, it is more challenging than owning an SLR and having the right lighting but I think we are managing well so far. This is meant to be fun and so far it is. We are: http://thetastebudz.wordpress.com/

As I said, few days back, I am visiting these links randomly and some of you must have heard from me. There is so much excitement out there and I am absolutely overwhelmed with the enthusiasm and love.
I use flickr to store photos I may want to put on my blog. My main photo storage is Iphoto on my computer. I only use a point + shoot but have gotten some results good enough to be published on tastespotting, foodgawker, etc. I’m just starting to work my way through your posts which are appreciated. My biggest struggle is white balance. I can’t see to conquer the concept.
Cooking is my main hobby, then came blogging, and now I’m into food photography as well. I’m going to build a little food light-tent this weekend.
I have a blog at http://christophercina.com and a portfolio at http://ccina.zenfolio.com

Hi Neel,
I really love your blog and find it quite useful for anyone interested in food photography and styling. Here is my blog for you to visit and I’m looking forward to hearig from you.
My photos are on my blog, Cooking in Mexico. Starting out with an HP point and shoot, I produced some very good photos and lots that were mediocre. I’m especially pleased with the Huevos Rancheros in this photo.http://kathleeniscookinginmexico.wordpress.com/2010/03/29/huevos-rancheros/
I was so in love with this photo, I violated a rule I try to follow, learned from David Lebovitz: don’t let a photo depict food larger than it really is.
What do you think? Is it too large.
I just got an Olympus c-5050 Zoom. I have a lot to learn, especially about having the food in the foreground in sharp focus and the food in the background out of focus. This is my first attempt (chocolate ice cream):http://kathleeniscookinginmexico.wordpress.com/2010/08/07/mexican-ibarra-chocolate-ice-cream-me-gusta-mucho/
This is probably more info that you requested, but thanks for reading this.

I am in the process of upgrading my camera to a Rebel T2i as I think it will give me more control over my shots. The olympus sp565uz is nice and I love the fact it isn’t a heavy camera but I need a dlsr for next year. I have a rebel film camera I used before and loved it so excited to get this new digital with more controls. please let me know how you like my blog!! thank you and love this site!!
I take pictures of food that I eat from various restaurants that I have visited. Most of the time I post the photos in my facebook profile or in myspace account. I have been thinking of getting other site to host my photos but I haven’t found a decent one. Can you suggest one for me? Thanks
Katie Smith
I store all my photography on flickr which I love. You can meet with others who enjoy what you like to photograph and also get pointers as well. My blog is about NYC but also alot of the great food that is found there …..
