What a great year it was. We started interviewing food photographers and stylists and chefs in March 2010. In about 9 months, it was a pleasure to interview 15 very passionate individuals who love food photography and styling. In these interviews they shared a lot of food photography and styling, and we hope you did too.

Below are the 15 experts that we interviewed in 2010 on everything from lighting for food photography to how to use a prop in your food photos. And that’s not it, someone from inside of Tastespotting gave an advice on how to get your photos published. Cooking Light magazine’s Chief Food Stylist taught us everything about food styling process.

Clare Barboza specializes in farm to table photos. She shared with us how to shoot raw food.

Mowie Kay started his blog in Apr 2009 and very quickly caught attention of many people. In less than an year, his blog was called a “Good Looking Blog” by DMBLGIT. Mowie shared with us importance of outstanding food photos for food bloggers.
Adriana Mullen shared food styling tips for food bloggers. She explained food styling and presentation for food photographers in a great detail.
Ilva Beretta is very passionate about food photography and specially using props in food photos. We had such a captivating conversation that we decided to release the interview in two parts. She shared how to select props in part one and then she gave us 4 frugal tips to go prop shopping in part two.
Andrew Scrivani, New York Times’ Food Photographer and columnist shared his food photography tips for food bloggers.
Cooking Light Magazine’s Chief Food Stylist Charlotte Autry and Food Photographer John Autry explained detailed steps of a food photography shoot.
Lucas Zarebinski shared advice on how to get into food photography industry.
Recently, Paula Walters gave us prop styling tips for food photography. It was more like a good course in Prop Styling.
And then Jennifer Bartoli, one of the editors of Tastespotting gave some secret advice on getting your food photos published in Tastespotting.

As I said, my vote for an interview goes to Donna Hay, a most influential stylist.
A second choice is Kelly Cline http://www.istockphoto.com/kcline. She’s a very successful microstock photographer specializing in food photography. I would be very interested in hearing her views about food & microstock.
