  1. Thanks for the shoutout! It seems almost a little silly, being listed in the company of so many people who are professionals. I visit most of the blogs you listed for inspiration on a regular basis too.- Liz

    • Liz,

Thank you for your comment. You are right in saying that some of these are professionals and the list has people with varied degree of experience.

However, this is a list of bloggers who have awesome food photos. Well at least 11 food photographers whose food photos I love. Please suggest if you think someone else should be included.

  2. WOW! Thank you for adding me to the list with some of these lovely fellow bloggers. I am humbly honored Neel! Lara and Bea have been my source of inspiration from the day I started food blogging. Thank you also for your lovely thoughts on my blog and photos! Hugs!

  3. OMG Neel! I can’t believe you added me to this list! I am truly humbled and honoured being in the company of such great food bloggers. Thank you.

  4. Hello Neel! A little surprised, I have to say, at being included on this list, as I see a few professionals there and would consider my picture-taking to be pretty basic at best. Thank you very much though!

By the way, the portfolio you linked to is actually my boyfriend’s photo blog. :)

    • Y! Thank you for stopping by. You are right there are some professionals in the list and really all that list is saying is what I bloggers I have found inspiring regardless of their experience and everything else.

  5. There are so many great food photographers out there. Some of these I know. Thanks for introducing me to some new ones. Here is where I go for inspiration.

http://thorsten-food-photography.blogspot.com/ this amateur photographer is better than some professionals in my opinion

    http://almostbourdain.blogspot.com/

    http://souvlakiforthesoul.com/

http://www.foodografia.com/ I like the renaissance mood of some of his photos. Some remind me of still life oil paintings.

    http://www.flagrantedelicia.com/en/

    Enjoy

  6. Hi!! Thank you for this great list, I have added a few links to my reader! However, I think that one is really missing in your post, it’s Aran, from Cannelle et Vanille (http://cannelle-vanille.blogspot.com/)

  7. A few of my favorites.

    Steamy Kitchen

    Running With Tweezers

    Lucullian Delights

  8. Thank you for this post! I desperately need help in the food photography department! And its going to start with getting a real camera – beautiful photos are not the result of a camera phone. :o !

  9. Great list. Many of the usual suspects but also some wonderful lesser known food blogs for everyone to get more familiar with.

I agree with some of the suggestions above. Aran @ http://cannelle-vanille.blogspot.com/ is a great photographer and she inspires me daily! I also love http://www.flagrantedelicia.com/en/ which has been mentioned.

    Another person you should add….
Bron Marshall is a food blogger in NZ who has amazing photographs, stories and recipes. http://bronmarshall.com/

I am just an amateur photographer myself (far from the skill of the professionals you list above), and find the breadth of inspiration from food blogs around the world so exciting – and their creativity keeps pushing me to get better.

  10. No Asian food blogs in the list? Asian cuisines are probably some of the most colorful in the world! I would recommend Sparklette Food Blog (http://sparklette.net). The author travels widely and posts beautiful photos and detailed writeups from her dining excursions.

  11. How about EatingAsia and Rasa Malaysia?

  12. You missed my personal favorite – Greg Henry at http://www.sippitysup.com

  13. Geri Nishi says:

Thank you for posting this – some wonderful food photo bloggers out there!

  14. great list – such talent out there!

  15. I second Sippity Sup. He has a editorial quality not seen in other blogs. All the photos in the post relate to each other stylistically. His photos tell a story, well beyond “this is food it’s pretty”. I guess my professional art director hat is showing, because I also have to mention White on Rice. They are simply at the top of their game.

  16. Wow, this is a great list! I’d like to recommend http://www.rawmazing.com/ if you haven’t seen Susan’s site yet… I have to believe you haven’t seen her amazing food photography or she would be on the top of the list ;p

    Blessings,
    Joanna

  17. I don’t know, I guess I’m from old school photography because I looked at a lot of these “Food” photographers and, in my opinion, they are mediocre, at best. They must be good at marketing, I guess, because their shots sure don’t impress me.

  18. Thank you for your comment Larry. I appreciate your honest opinion. However I disagree with you. But I think that’s what makes art so interesting. Again, thank you for your comments.

  19. Hello,

There are definitely familiar blog names on your list, which I regularly follow. However, I wanted to give a shout out to a new up-and-coming food blog. She has only done a handful of posts, but there are many more to come, with great dishes and catchy commentary.

    Check out http://shrimpaholic.wordpress.com/.

  20. This a great list. I know this is an old post. But I love Todd and Diane from http://whiteonricecouple.com/.

  21. I had to comment after literally being on this blog everyday for the past week. THANK YOU, I have learned so much and am applying it every day to my photographs!

  22. It’s 3:30am where I’m from. It’s not such a good idea to be feasting my eyes on such subjects at this time of the day! ;) I’m practically craving for anything edible!

  23. You missed Pierre Comtois. I started photographing food not too long ago. I have already a growing list of clients including Golden Edibles and David’s cookies.
    Take a look please.
    Thank you!

    Pierre

  24. Wow! Some amazing examples there, i have been following Helen Dujardin’s blog for a while now and find her work absolutely stunning!

  25. That was so refreshing! I love watching Jamie Oliver on TV. Browsing through these links feels a lot like it. :)

  26. Wow, this is one of the most resourceful blogpost. I am overwhelmed seeing the plethora of just wonderful photos linked through this post. So much to observe and so much to learn. Thanks for putting it all together Neel.

  27. Thanks for a great list.
I’ve put some of them at my photography blog because they are worth a lot to visit.

  28. What type of printer should I buy if I want to print my photos of food photography myself? And what printer ink cartridges should I get?

  29. Great help for me checking those blog layouts out…thank you, im off to experiment with my own now. Cheers

  30. I like “The Girl Who Ate Everything”

  31. Ned Tesic says:

    You missed Gourmet Belly

From Melbourne to London and everyehre in between (so long as it is continental Europe :)

  32. This is not my website, it belongs to a woman in San Francisco and she does amazing photographs! I hope she is included in future competitions. Thanks for all of the inspiring blogs, my kitchen would not be the same without them!

  33. Very helpful post. Your list of famous photo bloggers is indeed complete.

  34. Great list! I’ve seen some of their photos and they really look great! It would also be nice if they try to join some monthly photo contest online. Showcasing their works to more audience would seem to be more fun! :)

  35. Great food photography blog list is always helpful!
Thanks for sorting them up. We noticed that you compiled almost complete list from food bloggers around the world.

  36. Weight increase than those in the food, and the amount of food calories, protein, carbon, fat, there is a list have this side.

  37. Such a great list…a few of these folks inspired me to start my own food photography site!

    Amazing work to strive to.

    Thanks!

  38. http://www.whatkatieate.com is one that’s missing from this list a beautiful blog with amazing photography!

    • This list is from several years ago and certainly needs to be updated. I like Katie’s work and specially the mood of her photograph.
